I Visited Four Countries on My Lunch Break

The 4th Annual Winternational Embassy Showcase took place yesterday at the Ronald Reagan Building/International Trade Center in downtown DC.  Always on the lookout for new travel inspiration, I popped over on my lunch break to see which embassies would entice my never ending wanderlust.

There were dozens on countries represented but a few held my attention a little longer.  It was wonderful chatting with embassy representatives and learning more about their counties. I found Botswana, Azerbaijan, Haiti and Oman to be the most intriguing. New additions to the must see list? Very possible!

After many great conversations and a bag full of information from prospective travel locations I headed for the exit only to walk right past a piece of history. On display at the Ronald Reagan Building in an actual section of the Berlin Wall. Really quite remarkable to see it up close. So much history and travel on one lunch break!
